I got this trombone when I was in 10th grade. I still occasionally play it and it still has good tone. It is even better with a good mouthpiece such as a large bore Bach 6 1/2 AL. It has a good slide and trigger. Great buy for the price.

when I read the reviews on this trombone, I was a bit worried. both said there was a problem with the case. I however, have had no problem opening and closing my case. second, they said the tone quality was not top notch. on this I agree, but it isn't the horn itself, but the mouthpiece it comes with. it would be very wise to invest in a mouthpiece of higher quality, like a Bach 6 1/2 AL. another concern I had was the tuning slides. Tim said that they didn't work smoothly, and that the f attachment was very sharp. I found that not to be the case. that probably has more to do with how you play than anything else. I also found that the slide worked quite well. I haven't had any problems with it. I haven't encountered anything wrong with the f key either. the finish was also very nice. maybe I just got the Uberbone, or maybe the ones previously written about were flukes, I don't know. bottom line: I think it a very good buy. not the greatest, but it's a god balance of price and quality. in combo with a new mouthpiece, very much worth the price.
