This is a really nice axe. Very well made and extremely versatile with the samarium pickups and S1 switching. I got the Manege black and was kinda worried what the finish would look like, but I really like it. The finish looks like my Jaguar XJ8 which is anthracite in color, a black with subtle gray colored hue flakes. For those wondering, it has a very subtle gold/gray flake that you can hardly notice unless you view it in direct light from a side angle. just enough though to dull the black a smidgen, and alleviate small scratches that show up on a black gloss finish. The fit and finish is top notch and the maple neck is very playable. This guitar is a bargain for a grand, and could be used for various styles of music, unlike a lot of conventional Strats that lack the warm sound of say a Les Paul.

I picked up the first American Deluxe Strat I had seen and I experienced the sensation I had always dreamed of: The perfect match. This guitar felt so right instantly, fit perfectly and sounded amazing. For a brand new off the shelf guitar, it was if it had paid it's dues in smokey bars for years and years to wear in with such character. I didn't like the color or am I partial to rosewood fingerboards, but it could be flaming pink for all I care and the fingerboard feels better than any guitar I've had. The S-1 switching is just more of a good thing. I couldn't possibly praise this guitar any higher. I have to hand it to Fender and they do Leo proud. Check 'em out. They are worth every penny and the 123 price makes this deal for a pro guitar the best for under a grand! Now, I wonder what the Deluxe Tele is like.....

This is amazing. It’s a bit more expensive then the normal American strat but well worth it. It has a few different features then the normal American strat. The cutaway on the back of the guitar where the neck plate is lets you get your hand down to those bottom frets very comfortably. Also the noiseless pickups are amazing with the switch on the volume to take you up to 10 different pickup selections.

I play a lot of different kind of music, from jazz to metal and from rock to blues. I was looking for a guitar that could do it all. This beauty does it. The tuners are tight and keep the tune well. The neck is very nice and so are the frets. Fingers slide smoothly over frets and bending is easy. I have this guitar in 3-tone sunburst and mint green plastic parts and they're awesome! The pickups are the quietest pickups I've ever played. In neck position and having tone in 5 you get mellow bluesy tone. In bridge position and having "no-load" tone in 10 pickups distort easily and you can even play Metallica. This is the best guitar Fender has made in their 50 year history. 900 hundred dollars is bargain for this gem!

I purchased a Fender American deluxe strat about a month ago and could write a 10 page essay on why it is worth every penny. The sounds this guitar can produce are amazing. The new SCN pickups are excellent and are really some of the quietest pickups I've ever heard. They produce the classic bell like tones of strats from the 60's without as much noise. The new S-1 switch that comes on all the models allows you to get more sounds out of this strat than any other guitar. It also surprisingly adds more sustain and punch while retaining that classic Fender sound. Right out of the case the intonation was set perfectly and the guitar was in tune. Not that surprising with the locking tuners. The neck was smooth and the hand-rolled edges made playing a breeze and very comfortable. These guitars are constructed with great care. The 3-color finish was perfect and the aged plastic parts make this guitar look vintage. The abalone dot inlays and golden color frets are added details that make this guitar look just as good as it sounds. All that for $120 cheaper then last years model. I strongly recommend this guitar to anyone. You won't be disappointed. Fender has created one of the most beautiful and versatile guitars ever made. Everyone deserves to own one. This guitar deserves 10 stars.
