This amp is simply amazing. I got hooked on Kustom amplifiers during a band practice. I was putting out twice the sound with half the power and speakers. I was, and still am, one of the few guitarists in the area to have achieved that much coveted Dimebag sound. You know what I mean: that mean, disgusting growl made so famous on Cowboys From Hell. It's all thanks to the Kustom. The tight, thunderous lows and sparkling and spacious highs make for amazing stage presence. The onboard distortion is a little weak for my blood, but a guitarist searching for a good classic or alternative rock sound will find what they need and more. The 24-bit digital effects can also be a little disappointing, but the reverb is simply amazing. Turn it to number 6, the chorus + reverb, and dial the intensity back halfway will render an amazing clean tone and unbelievable sustain and depth for leads. This amp is amazing. When someone with a $4000 full stack is jealous of the tone oozing from a $400 2x12, you know it's the real deal. The best part is that the QUAD 200 is an exact copy of the combo, making for an amazingly simple practice to gig transition and an even more ridiculous starter amp to the last amp you will ever want switch over. Marshal, Dean Markley, and Mesa Boogie? Don't need 'em. I just got all the amp I could want for less than the HEAD of those other guys. Kustom has made the new benchmark in live sound!

The other reviews are correct. This amp is LOUD. When the amp booklet has setting for different sounds (blues/metal/etc.) and the volume doesn't go over 1/4 of the way up, you know this thing is loud.
It's a beast. Both in size and sound. This amp will blow you away. I couldn't turn it up over 1/4 without it rattling the walls (on the clean channel!). This is a very versatile amp. I will always recommend this amp.

This amp really rocks. I bought it for the really clean sound, (Since I couldn't turn it up too loud at the store I bought it from) but the distortion sounded good enough at low volumes. The clean just blew me right away.
I use this amp to play lots of Ska and it gave me the tone I was looking for with minimal effort. When I brought it home I figured I would just run through a tube screamer to get the distortion I needed, but no way. The bottom end on this thing is intense, plus there are many sounds you can pull out of this amp. The line out on the front is an awesome feature, and the built in effects are decent as well. I have played many high end amps, solid state or tube and this when is right up there with the best.

Being in my 50's, (but still rocking) I never gave much thought to a half stack. After all, my Fender Deluxe Twin Reverb (all tube), with additional stomp box's, gave me pretty much any sound I wanted. However, my Fender is considered a Vintage amp and I want to keep it that way. Let's face it, tubes may have warmer/better sound, but they also have to be cared for. Not wanting to damage my Fender amp with my Gibson Les Paul Classic, or Fender American Strat&Tele. I decided to buy me a solid state amp. Having a Kustom PA system, I knew that Kustom was a quality product. So, not having a bunch of money to spend. I bought this Kustom Quad 200 and matched it with a B-52 4X12LG. BAM!!!!
This thing will rock you. Has a great clean sound, and when adding distortion with a compression pedal, unbelievable! You metal players will go nuts over this amp. Now I play the crap out of it and don't worry about it blowing up. If it did, big deal. I only have $675.00 invested in the head and the cabinet.
My Fender amp was well over the $1100.00 mark. If you want a half or full stack, this amp will do the job. Match it with what ever cabinet you like. The B-52LG is low in cost, and loud in performing. If your country, classic rock, blues, jazz, metal, heavy metal, grunge, or folk-----Ha!!. This amp will meet your needs.

This amp is the most trippy amp I've ever played. it's so loud it totally blows my mind dude, and no feedback whatsoever, even with distortion on with bigger balls and the volume up to 9. I have nothing to complain about this amp, as far as I'm concerned it totally owns Marshalls and everything else I've played. The clean is the most crystal clear lovely sound I've ever heard, and the distortion has got the biggest bottom end I have ever heard! It can easily go over my drumset at about 3 or 4 volume. This amp is totally amazing especially for how cheap it is, trust me man this is no beginners amp.
