I just bought the LMI Bass recorder and I could not be more pleased. It has a clear, warm tone and the extreme low range is much louder than my wooden basses. Low F really "pops" out. The higher octave is also sweet and easy to play in tune. I am especially happy with the fingering placement, which is much more comfortable than my other more expensive basses. I would recommend it without reservation.
