Palisono bars, made of a high-quality glass fibre, produce a longer sustain on individual notes, sound brighter, and are not affected by changes in temperature or humidity. Additionally, palisono bars are heavier than rosewood and as a result they do not bounce off the resonator box when hit off-center.
