Ask yourself this, what keyboard in the entire world allows you to send up to 4 ports of 16 midi channels each, back and forth from the PC, and up to 16 Audio Channels, of PURE 24 BIT Digital AUDIO to your PC and then be able to send back another 8 Channels back to your Keyboard all of this via a SINGLE Firewire cable? The answer is: NONE! Except the Motif ES. This is the only Workstation that when equipped with this option will allow you to do this. I purchased my Mlan16e option here at music123 and I can say I got the best customer service ever from an online store. Imagine the power of this thing. You can make a song on the Motif Es, then you want to send your entire mix via assignable individual inputs to your PC sequencer, you can do that. Add insert effects to your mix then return all that mix back to the Motif ES via the same Firewire cable, and add Master effects, to the entire mix, add master EQ, and do a mixdown back to your PC. The possibilities are endless. You can even mix an entire kit and send each drum out via assignable mLan outputs and apply insert effects to each drum and have an awesome mix of pure audio on you PC. That is TOTAL CONTROL! Right now I have my system setup with 3ms Latency for Input and Output. If you don't have a Motif ES and are just reading up, get it and equip it with this awesome option, and start making music the way you only dreamed of. Yet now, Yamaha has made a reality. Music123 gets AAA+ award from me for the excellent packaging and customer service they provided.
